Why We Started
I founded Semper Sol Media after trading my rifle for a keyboard. As a United States Marine Corps combat veteran, I’ve traveled the globe and witnessed firsthand the kind of horrific evil, poverty, and institutional failure that most only see on a screen. Those experiences didn't just change me—they forged a commitment to the unvarnished truth that my community deserves.
For too long, the stories that matter most to Vacaville families have gone unreported or been buried under partisan framing. I got tired of waiting for the legacy media to do the hard work of local accountability—so I started doing it myself.
What We Believe
We believe local news should be honest, not partisan. Factual, not sensational. And yes—sometimes even joyful. Not every story is a crisis, and we are just as committed to telling stories of community resilience as we are to holding the powerful accountable.
Our loyalty is to this community—the homeowners, the small business owners, the parents, the veterans, and the people of faith who make Vacaville what it is. While we welcome corporate partners and sponsors who share our commitment to this region, we maintain strict editorial independence. We have no political allies to protect and no strings attached to our reporting. Our mission is the truth; our partners are those who value it.
We operate with a clear point of view: we believe in individual liberty, strong families, and the health and safety of our children. We do this work with the same discipline and commitment we learned in the Corps—mission first, no excuses.
